An award winning soprano, Ayelet has performed throughout Israel, Italy and the Bay Area. Her opera performances include leading roles with the Berkeley Opera, Oakland Opera, Pocket Opera and the Opera Festival of Rome.

2:00 – 2:30pm Hyim

The “hippie child who grew up on hip-hop,” Hyim is a singer-songwriter,
composer, playwright and poet.who began playing piano at the age of three, studied sitar in India, clave in Cuba, classical guitar in New Zealand, and (last but not least) the Torah.

2:00 – 4:00pm Jewish Dance Workshop with Bruce Bierman and Miriam Peretz

Bruce Bierman directs the San Francisco based Jewish Dance Theatre. He has performed and taught with the Aman Folk Dance Ensemble. Bruce is a student of the great Jewish dancer and choreographer, Felix Fibich and Yiddish dance teacher Steve Weintraub.

Miriam Peretz is an internationally acclaimed performing artist and dance instructor. She is assistant artistic director and principle dancer for Ballet Afsaneh with whom she has been a member since 1998.

4:00 pm Finale Dance Party with Brass Menažeri

The Brass Menažeri (pronounced “Menagerie”) is the San Francisco Bay Area’s Klezmer Balkan Romani (“Gypsy”) powerhouse brass band. The energy is infectious—toes tap, bodies slam, sweat flies as vital energy radiates from the dance floor. The Brass Menažeri is a shining example of traditional Balkan repertoire and klezmer, combined with new sensibilities, innovative arrangements & original compositions at the hands & lips of American devotees.sweat flies as vital energy radiates from the dance floor.
